New York Colleges - Brooklyn Law School, DeVry University

Those interested in the law streams can apply to the Brooklyn Law School at Brooklyn Heights, Downtown Brooklyn. It was established in 1901 by William Payson Richardson and Norman P. Heffley. Brooklyn Law School first opened its gates on September 30, 1901, with only five faculty members and 28 students. But within a year the number of students being enrolled increased dramatically from 28 to 112. The main academic building of this college features a conference centre, a dining hall, a four-storey law library, classrooms and faculty offices. The college even has hostel facilities for its students, where more than 550 students can stay. There are currently 68 full-time professors who specialise in different areas of law like trial advocacy, business crimes, corporate litigation, sports law, real estate development and homeland security law.

DeVry University has more than 80,000 undergraduates and graduates enrolled. The college was first opened in Chicago in 1931. In DeVry the faculty specialises in many courses such as business administration, computer information system, engineering, network and communication management, and also gives professional certificates for courses in business, office management and health information technology. The bachelors programs that this college offers is usually for 4 years, but some of the courses can be completed within 3 years, too.
